Bob Welch leads the Customer Communications team at 84.51, helping Kroger and consumer packaged goods companies create the most relevant and personalized dialog with customers to strengthen their experiences and interactions with brands and their loyalty to Kroger. Previously he served as senior vice president for the Merchandising Insights and Activation team where he worked with CPG partners and Kroger merchandising to leverage customer insights and solutions to generate holistic, shopper-centric merchandising strategies.
Prior to 84.51, Bob was vice president of grocery client leadership for dunnhumbyUSA, leading the company's initial engagement of CPG partners including General Mills, Kraft, PepsiCo and Procter & Gamble. He established client training and support models for shopper insights and was responsible for the sell-in of the first year of direct shopper marketing activity. He moved to dunnhumby's London headquarters in 2008 to lead the UK client leadership team. In 2009, he transitioned into a global solutions role, managing the commercial and product roadmaps for dunnhumby's global suite of shopper insight, assortment and direct marketing products. Welch returned to the U.S. in 2010 maintaining his global solutions focus until 2011 when he took his role as senior vice president of client solutions at dunnhumbyUSA.
