Chris Bannon is Chief Content Officer at Midroll Media, parent company of the Earwolf network and its top-ranked comedy podcasts; popular podcast listening platform and content network Stitcher and its premium subscription service; and the Midroll advertising network, representing over 300 of the world's largest podcasts.
Bannon oversees a wide variety of popular weekly podcasts, including "Comedy Bang! Bang!", "How Did This Get Made?," and the parenting podcast "The Longest Shortest Time," among other shows. Prior to joining Midroll, Bannon was the VP for Content Development and Production at WNYC, where he developed a series of successful podcasts including "Freakonomics Radio," "Here's The Thing with Alec Baldwin," and "Death, Sex & Money." At WNYC, he also served as Program Director, and led the launch of classical powerhouse WQXR.
He graduated from Brown University and holds a Masters Degree in English and American Literature from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
