Jim Hoostal has more than 20 years of leadership experience in the automotive industry, having worked in a number of capacities across the retail, manufacturer and agency businesses. Currently, Jim ensures best practices, brings the latest thinking, and helps drive transformational results for Interbrand's automotive clients as Executive Director of Client Service. In this role, Hoostal leads the organization's office in Irvine, California.
Prior to joining Interbrand, Jim was the Regional Executive Director for IHS Markit (previously R. L. Polk & Co.) where he oversaw sales and client services, helping automotive clients improve product and service strategies, develop new marketing capabilities, drive higher customer loyalty and increase profits. Hoostal has also held Retail Development and Marketing leadership positions at two auto makers, with responsibilities for national market planning, dealer development, retail brand standards, facilities, regional advertising and digital marketing. He has been instrumental in developing retail strategies and standards throughout his career, and is passionate about helping his automotive clients strengthen their brands and prepare for the future.
Jim is also a speaker and panelist at national conferences and has been quoted in publications such as CNN Money, Fast Company, and Automotive News. He holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Business Administration and enjoys a coastal lifestyle with his family in Southern California.
