Sean L. Rugless, Founder and President of the Katalyst Group, is an accomplished executive with a passion for building innovative businesses and impactful economic development opportunities. As a former corporate brand manager and chamber of commerce executive, he brings to bear a unique perspective in building scalable business models, creating well-aligned strategic partnerships, and developing brands that resonate across diverse consumer markets.
His experience also includes brand management at Procter & Gamble where he lead product development efforts, developed several multicultural advertising programs, won category awards in advertising, and led channel marketing efforts that grew a national retail chain from P&G's 10th largest to its 8th largest customer. Sean also founded a Brand Strategy Group at a global design firm where he led repositioning and rebranding for domestic and global brands. Sean is the former President of the Cincinnati Regional Tourism Network, the region's destination marketing entity. After serving as President and CEO of the Greater Cincinnati African American Chamber, he currently leads a brand consultancy practice, The Katalyst Group, in Cincinnati, Ohio. His company has authored a nationally recognized study on diversity in tech and innovation and is currently servicing clients such as Cincinnati USA Convention & Visitors Bureau, the United Way, Procter & Gamble, and Urban Ministries Inc, the nation's largest African American Christian Education media and publishing company.
